Believe it or not ‘Google’ is not the only search engine available to help with all your research, although it is extremely good. There are many others out there to investigate. Try a number of search engines below to get a feel of how they work a little differently
Dogpile - using Metasearch this site returns all the best results from leading search engines like Google, Yahoo and compiles them all in one easy to find place.
DuckDuckGo - no frills search engine
Finding Dulcinea - online guides, Internet Library, web resources.
KidFriendlySearch - arranged into KLA's with links to Teacher sites as well.
KidsKlick - run by School of Library and Information Science out of Kent State University.
Mashpedia - a topic-based content aggregator that provides up-to-date digital content and resources about specific subjects, places, people and events.
Quintura for Kids - visual search engine
Sweet Search - search engine for students.
